How Does Waste Turn into Energy?

2021 yılının son çeyreğinde açılışı yapılan Atık Yakma ve Enerji Üretim Tesisi, günlük 3.000 ton, yıllık ise yaklaşık 1 milyon ton kapasitesi ile “Avrupa’nın En Büyük Atık Yakma ve Enerji Üretim Tesisi” unvanına sahiptir. Tesis, İstanbul’un günlük evsel atık miktarının %15’ini bertaraf ederek, 85 MW kurulu güçle, yıllık 1,38 milyon ton sera gazı salımını engellemektedir.

Carbon Credit Sequestration

2022 yılı itibarıyla yıllık yaklaşık 4,5 milyon ton karbon kredisine sahip olacak İSTAÇ, Türkiye’de karbon kredisi üreten öncü kuruluşlar arasında.
